Day 3: Burleigh Head National Park

Another day, another park. Today is the day to explore Burleigh Head National Park, situated just 20 to 25 minutes from the Gold Coast City. Like previous days, have your breakfast in the hotel you are staying in, and then head over to start your journey towards this national park.

Once reached, you can now explore the diverse flora and fauna of this beautiful place. Despite being small in size, this natural park has beautiful surroundings. It also hosts a variety of native plant species, such as grey ironbark, brush box, native hibiscus tree, pandanus palms, and forest red gum. Along with the diverse plant species, this national park has amazing wildlife as well. Animals such as Australian brush turkeys, red-backed sea eagles, and koalas can be seen in this park. The Spit Gold Coast is 5 km long, starting from the main beach and extending to the seaway where Broadwater meets the Pacific Ocean.
